Crazy Busy December
Oh man, has December been busy or what!?! For us, it was full of Dance activities, birthdays, christmas parties, baking, shopping and of course Christmas! Let me just say this was by far my absolute favorite Christmas of ALL time, why you ask! It was the first Christmas in the almost nine years Brandon and I have been together, that my big boys were home! It was a perfect day, the little ones and I napped while the big boys saw a movie with Brandon. Then, we all baked and decorated cookies & made gingerbread houses. We woke up Christmas morning, opened presents, ate waffles then drove to Duchesne where we spent the rest of the weekend with the Birds! So happy December was great, but even happier that it is over, I am exhausted! Now on to New Years and Kamrie and Konner's Birthdays!

Busy, busy October
Octoberfest Performance
Kamrie performed at Octoberfest in Stansbury on October 16th and 17th. She did soooo great and lots of friends and family came out to watch. Jamie and the kids came out for the weekend, and as usual we had a great time with them. Brandon got to see her perform for the first time and was proud of course. Diana, Jenny, Heather & fam, Anni, Grandma Darlene, Chris and grandpa James all came throughout the weekend to watch. She performed five times in two days, it was exhausting, but great!

First Day of School
Kamrie had her first day of school at the beginning of the month. I know I am a slacker! It has just been a super super busy month so far. But better late than never I guess? Anyway it was a really good day. I took the whole day off of work. That way I could do her hair way cute and take her to breakfast before school. I really wanted to make it a special day, and it was. I still can't believe she is in school already, it makes me sad. The boys and I dropped her off and as a I was tearing up, Konner says "Mommy don't be sad, sissy has to go to school so she can have a shoot gun!" LOL, he always knows how to cheer his favorite mommy up! So here is the pics of Kamrie first day of Kindergarten, enjoy!

Kamrie's Hip Hop Performance
Kamrie had her first dance performance today at Stockton days. She did so awesome, expecially considering she started late and only had 5 practices. I had so much fun doing her makeup, and Diana did her hair.....it turned out awesome. Grandma Darlene and Anni came out to watch also. She even got some super pretty pink flowers from Anni, she felt so special. I am so proud of her and so excited for upcoming performances. I recorded it, but I have an oldschool camera and can't convert it to the computer. Hope Santa will bring me a new one this year ;-)Here are some pics I took!

Fair Weekend ( Friday and Saturday)
The little kids and I stayed in Duchesne for the rest of the weekend, while Brandon had to come back for work. We had a great time hanging out with the big boys and all of the Birds. Friday night was the Rodeo but we didnt stay long cause Jamie got a migraine plus the kids were pretty tired. Saturday was quiet and relaxing, we hung out at Tah and Jamie's house til the parade. The parade was fun and the kids got a ton of candy of course. After the parade Brandon was finally off work and back in town. So we all went to the last night of the rodeo. It was a great night. Tah and some of his friends won the wild steer riding competition, it was hilarious. The kids also got to go on rides and were exhausted by the end of the night. All in all we had a great weekend. It was such a nice weekend, we have really missed everyone. I am so glad to have weekends off again so we can do that more often. Thanks everyone for the great memories, and to Tah and Jamie for letting the kids and I spend the weekend with them.

Derby Night
Brandon took the night off Thursday for the Derby. We all drove out after I got off work. The kids and I went to Kyle and Jamie's to get ready while Brandon helped Tah with inspections(Tah and Jamie are now in charge of the derby) Breanne, Nan and Cris all watched the little kids so we could help Tah and Mamie =) It was a blast. Kenn, Kaelan and I took care of all the prize money while Brandon was a flagger with Tah. The kids also had a blast, eating fair food and they even got to take pics with Mater from cars. It was soooo much fun and Tah and Jamie did a great job running it!

A pretty crummy week =(
So this week for the Birds was No Bueno! It started out pretty good, we spent the weekend in Duchesne. We went out there for Jordyn's bapstism on Saturday, it was really nice. Kyle did a great job and Jordy looked so pretty in her white dress. Breanne babysat seven of the grandkids while Kyle, Jamie, Kaelan, Brandon and I all went to the Vernal Derby. The Derby itself was pretty lame, but it was soooo nice just to get away from the kiddies for awhile (Thanks Brea) and hang out with our fav birds. So we had a good time visiting the Duchesne Birds and ended up bringing home a cute little bunny and our older boys of course =) We named the bunny Fros-teen(Kamrie), Thumper(Konner) and Llyod (Brandon& big boys) and bought him a really nice cage with all the fixings.
Meanwhile my brother moved out this weekend so we have been super busy this week, moving the boys into the basement. They love it, and call it the "man-cave" It is pretty cool, they have it set up really nice and the little ones will have their play-room back also. Later in the week Kasen started to run a pretty high fever, so I (mommy) stayed home with him on Thursday. While the little boys and I were napping, the dogs got through the gate and up to where the bunny was; they got the cage apart and killed the bunny. It was super sad and Kamrie was pretty devastated, Konner didnt quite understand it though. So we had Kaelan bury our new little friend and had to say goodbye =( I felt horrible, I should have put the cage up high where the dogs couldnt reach.......oh well, a lesson learned I guess.
So it is now Friday, TGIF. Kasen is feeling better and Kamrie had to sleep with mommy cause she was still to sad to sleep alone. I am taking Kaelan, Karson and Kamrie school shopping today and G-Ma Darlene is keeping the little boys. I am glad the week is over and soooooo ready for Fair week in Duchesne! Woo-hoo!!!!! Everyone say a prayer that Kaelan does good and stays safe, he is racing his dirt bike Monday night!

The Last Year
The Bird Family has had one heck of a year. It has been almost a year since Brandon lost his job with Freightliner. This last 11 months have been the hardest ones so far in our almost nine years together.....BUT, we have made it through and are stronger now than ever before. So for the update on the Birds: Brandon is now with Smith Power in Salt Lake working on Detroit Diesel Engines and really enjoys it. Unfortunately he isnt making as much as he was at Freightliner and he still works nights, but its is better than nothing. I had to go back to work at Wal-Mart to help with bills, but thankfully after 7 months got a much better job in Salt Lake with Cogent Works. This job has really been the answer to our prayers, cause now Brandon and I can actually see eachother. Well kind of, before we worked opposite shifts and had different days off. We still work opposite shifts, but at least now we have the weekends off together. I work 6:30 to 2:30 and Brandon leaves as soon as I get home, and usually doesnt get home til after 2am. Its a little crazy, but it works for us and is good for the kids; they always have a parent home. We have had to sell alot of stuff to get rid of some bills, including the trailer and Rhino. We for sure could have never made it out without family and Brandon being sooooo frugal. In conclusion the last year has been a downward spiral, but we are all now working our way back up the spiral......woohooo!
